Born in 1993, Andrea Popović is a Swiss artist with balkan roots based in Zurich.
Specializing in storytelling his practice spans from still images and paintings to moving images. With a passion for drawing that has been ingrained in him since childhood, Andrea seamlessly integrates his artistic talent into his communication and creative processes.
Andrea's artistic journey has been recognized and celebrated. In 2017, while working on his degree in Animation Production at the University of Bournemouth, his diploma short film "Vida" received the Jury Prize for Best Animation Film at the Purbeck Short Film Competition. After working for an animation studio in London he embarked on his master's studies in Directing Fiction at the Zurich University of Arts in 2019, where he realized his debut short fiction film "Bele Noći" and his diploma film "Ukopan."
He is currently based in Zurich, where he continues to create art while also sharing his expertise through teaching.
